Stary Olsztyn [ˈstarɨ ˈɔlʂtɨn] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Purda, within Olsztyn County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) west of Purda and 8 km (5 mi) south of the regional capital Olsztyn. It is located within the historic region of Warmia.

A historic park is located in the village. Rock guitarist Marek Jackowski was born in Stary Olsztyn.
