International Coalition to Stop Crimes Against Humanity in North Korea (ICNK) dibentuk pada tanggal 8 September 2011. Koalisi ini melibatkan Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, dan International Federation for Human Rights, dan didukung oleh lebih dari 40 organisasi di seluruh dunia.[1][2] Masalah HAM di Korea Utara yang ditangani ICNK meliputi sistem kamp penjara politik Korea Utara dan pemulangan dan pengadilan para pengungsi Korea Utara.[3]

Misi

Menurut pernyataan resmi ICNK:

ICNK dibentuk dengan tujuan membentuk Komisi PBB untuk Penyelidikan Kejahatan Terhadap Kemanusiaan di Korea Utara. Demi mencapai tujuan tersebut, ICNK berusaha meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai isu hak asasi manusia di Korea Utara.[4][5]

Aktivitas

Pada bulan Januari 2012, ICNK mengirim surat terbuka kepada Kim Jong-un.[6] Bulan Maret 2012, ICNK mengirim petisi ke Dewan Hak Asasi Manusia Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa agar menerapkan mekanisme prosedur khususnya untuk membantu menutup kamp-kamp penjara politik Korea Utara.[7]
