Woodbridge Strong “W. S.” Van Dyke II (21 Maret 1889 – 5 Februari 1943) adalah seorang sutradara dan penulis asal Amerika yang membuat beberapa film bersuara awal yang sukses, yang meliputi Tarzan the Ape Man pada 1932, The Thin Man pada 1934, San Francisco pada 1936, dan enam film musikal populer dengan Nelson Eddy dan Jeanette MacDonald. Ia meraih dua nominasi Oscar untuk Sutradara Terbaik untuk The Thin Man dan San Francisco, dan menyutradarai empat pemeran nominasi Oscar: William Powell, Spencer Tracy, Norma Shearer, dan Robert Morley.[1]
