Michael Parenti (New York, 30 settembre 1933) è un saggista, storico e politologo statunitense.

Biografia

Parenti si è specializzato in Scienze politiche alla Yale University. È padre di Christian Parenti, collaboratore del The Nation. I suoi testi trattano della politica statunitense, di democrazie e totalitarismi, storia antica e moderna.^[1] Ha realizzato studi particolari sul “razzismo dell'ovest”, e le sue origini storiche più antiche, sul rapporto democrazia-capitalismo e sul ruolo dei media negli Stati Uniti. Oltre all'attività universitaria, è stato anche per vari anni giudice al Project Censored.
