Virgil Ivan "Gus" Grissom (3 April, 1926 - 27 Januari 1967) ialah salah seorang daripada tujuh angkasawan Projek Mercury Pentadbiran Aeronautik dan Angkasa Kebangsaan, dan yang pertama daripada Mercury Tujuh meninggal.[1][2] Beliau juga merupakan angkasawan Projek Gemini dan program Apollo. Grissom ialah rakyat Amerika kedua yang terbang di angkasa, dan ahli pertama Angkatan Angkasawan NASA terbang di angkasa dua kali. Di samping itu, Grissom ialah seorang veteran Perang Dunia II dan veteran Perang Korea, juruterbang ujian Angkatan Udara Amerika Syarikat, dan seorang jurutera mekanikal. Beliau ialah penerima Distinguished Flying Cross, dan Pingat Udara dengan kelompok daun oak, penerima dua kali NASA Distinguished Service Medal, dan Pingat Kehormatan Kongres Angkasa secara anumerta.[3][4][5]
