Zohar

Zohar ialah karya asas dalam kesusasteraan pemikiran mistik Yahudi yang dikenali sebagai Kabbalah.^[1] Ia merupakan sekumpulan buku termasuk ulasan tentang aspek mistik Taurat (lima kitab Musa) dan tafsiran kitab serta bahan mistik, kosmogoni mitos, dan psikologi mistik. Zohar mengandungi perbincangan tentang sifat Tuhan, asal usul dan struktur alam semesta, sifat jiwa, penebusan, hubungan Ego ke Kegelapan dan "diri sejati" kepada "Cahaya Tuhan", dan hubungan antara "tenaga sejagat" dan manusia. Penafsiran kitabnya boleh dianggap sebagai bentuk esoterik kesusasteraan Rabbinik yang dikenali sebagai Midrash, yang menghuraikan Taurat.^[2]
