Muntingiaceae is een botanische naam, voor een familie van tweezaadlobbige planten. De familie is pas vrij recent voor het eerst erkend. De familie zal bestaan uit de volgende drie soorten:

Muntingia calabura
Dicraspidia donnell-smithii (zie herbarium exemplaar)
Neotessmannia uniflora.
