Verhaal

De excentrieke zakenman Sigsbee Manderson wordt dood aangetroffen in zijn tuin. Inspecteur Murch leidt het moordonderzoek. Murch verdenkt meteen de secretaris van Manderson, omdat hij een affaire had met diens vrouw. Detective Philip Trent heeft een andere kijk op de zaak.
