Phymatophaea er en slekt av bmauriller som stort sett er rovdyr.

Utseende

Middelsstore (ca. 10 millimeter), slanke maurbiller, gråbrunlige, med lett klubbeformede antenner.

Levevis

Både larver og voksne biller er rovdyr, men de voksne kan også finnes på blomster der de spiser pollen. Mange lever av treborende insekter. Typearten L. kirbyi etterligner trolig en giftig art i familien maurvepser (Mutilidae).

Utbredelse

Slekten er kjent fra New Zealand og Ny-Caledonia.
