Katepsin S (EC 3.4.22.27, Cathepsin S) je enzim.[1][2][3] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju

Slično dejstvo sa katepsinom L, ali sa znatno manjom aktivnošću na Z-Phe-Arg-NHMec, i većom aktivnošću na Z-Val-Val-Arg- jedinjenjima

Ovaj enzim je lizozomalna cisteinska endopeptidaza.
