Virgin Steele är ett heavy metal-band från New York, USA, som grundades 1981. Bandet sångare och frontfigur är David DeFeis. Det sound som bandet har är enligt många väldigt likt Manowar, ett annat band från New York[1]. Från bandets första skiva till bandets senaste alster så har deras musik gått från traditionell heavy metal till mer bombastisk musik, dominerad av körer och pianon[2].
Bandet är känt för sina mytologiska teman och sina konceptalbum.
